Welcome to New York Nepali Church, the culmination of a beautiful union between Bethel Nepali Church and New York Presbyterian Nepali Church. On July 9th, 2023, these two beloved congregations came together to form a new and vibrant community of faith in the heart of New York City.
As a diverse congregation united by our shared love for God and our Nepali heritage, we provide a spiritual home for Nepali-speaking individuals and families seeking refuge and respite in the embrace of our heavenly Father. Our church is a beacon of hope and a place of belonging for all who seek to deepen their faith and connection with others. Join us on this journey of faith, love, and community!"
For years, Bethel Nepali Church and New York Nepali Presbyterian Church journeyed on parallel paths, sharing the same gospel and serving the same community. Despite the deep bonds among many fellowship members of both congregations, they remained distinct entities. Yet, in the heart of our unchanging God—who promises in Isaiah that His covenant will endure even when the mountains crumble—lay a plan for unity. He listened to the fervent prayers and the deepest desires of our hearts, weaving these two previously separate churches into a single tapestry of faith. This union, a testament to God's unwavering faithfulness, marks a new chapter in our collective worship and service, underlining the eternal truth that in His time, all things come together for good.
At New York Nepali Church, our vision is to be a beacon of hope, love, and transformation in our city and beyond. We are guided by the teachings of Jesus Christ and inspired by the rich tapestry of Nepali culture. Together, we seek to create a community where all are welcome, all are valued, and all are empowered to live out their faith in meaningful ways.
At New York Nepali Church, our mission is simple yet profound: to spread the love of Jesus Christ and to nurture a thriving community of believers. We strive to accomplish this mission by:
1. Worship: We gather regularly to worship God in spirit and in truth, drawing from both traditional Nepali worship practices and contemporary expressions of faith.
2. Fellowship: We believe in the power of community. Through fellowship, we build strong relationships, support one another through life's challenges, and celebrate each other's victories.
3. Discipleship: We are committed to growing in our faith and understanding of God's Word. Through Bible studies, discipleship programs, and mentorship, we equip believers to live out their faith in everyday life.
4. Outreach: We are called to be salt and light in the world. Through various outreach initiatives, we seek to make a positive impact in our local communities and beyond, demonstrating God's love through acts of service and compassion.
